Boading School

Children with disabilities are more likely than others to live in poverty, experience discrimination, and be exposed to exclusion in education, employment, and other areas. Children with disabilities are less likely to attend school, remain in school, and progress through the school system than others.

The Centre has a boarding primary school approved by the Ministry of National Education since 1983. Children of both sexes and regardless of religion are admitted to the school.

We also welcome a certain percentage of children without disabilities to cultivate mutual esteem and complementarity from an early age and, therefore, promote inclusive education which can be defined as « a process that involves the transformation of schools and other learning centers so that they can cater to all children – including boys, girls, students belonging to ethnic and linguistic minorities, those from rural populations, those affected by HIV and AIDS, who are disabled and who have learning difficulties – and offer learning opportunities to all, young people and adults. »
